We will discuss impending weather close to your session and decide if it is appropriate to reschedule. If you are getting professional hair and makeup done, I ask about your artist’s cancellation policy so we can ensure that we give ample notice if we have to reschedule.

I will edit small blemishes, but I will not change how you look overall. You are beautiful just the way you are! My rule is that if it will be gone in two weeks, it is appropriate to edit it out.

I generally do not use props because I want the focus to be on you and for your photos to be timeless. However, sometimes I recommend bringing a small, neutral colored toy to help cheer up a cranky child. If you would like to do a pregnancy announcement you could also bring an ultrasound photo.

Yes! You can order prints from a professional lab through my online gallery.

Professional labs use top-of-the-line inks and papers to ensure the color accuracy and longevity of your prints. Your photo session is an investment into your family history and you want your photos to look just as good in 30 years as the first day you received them. Technology also changes quickly and we don’t know what the long-term future will bring for digital files. Prints will always be there.

When I get home, I immediately copy your photos onto my computer from the memory card. After editing, I keep them backed up on two external hard drives.

Yes. I am trained in newborn posing and safety. I also have almost a decade of experience as a Doctor of Physical Therapy handling people’s injuries, and I have an in-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Yes. I have held a CPR certification for healthcare providers since 2012 for all ages.
